CORGI Plumbing
In England and Wales, there is a legal requirement for anyone carrying out plumbing
installation work to meet relevant Building Regulations and notify Local Building
Control of that work.
To ensure the above requirements were met, CORGI established their Competent Plumbing Scheme. The scheme was also introduced in order to:
- Improve the standard of plumbing work carried out.
- Reduce costs to meet new Government Building Regulations.
- Help tackle the problem of ‘cowboy traders’.
Black Arrows Limited is registered with CORGI’s Competent Plumbing Scheme. We have been assessed by CORGI’s own inspector and received approval at having achieved their high standard of knowledge, qualifications and experience.
We possess the tools and equipment required for your installations and the appropriate and relevant calibrated/certified testing equipment. We do not ‘settle’ for a poor quality job because we aren’t able to do it properly. We have a system of work auditable by CORGI, which covers appropriate certification and reporting of the work undertaken by our company.
When we have completed a new installation at your home we register the work with CORGI. This information is then communicated to Building Control and a certificate is then issued to you the customer. This certificate states the work carried out in your home and that it has been installed by a competent, qualified and registered installer.
This certificate should be retained by you the customer as part of your Home Information Pack (HIPs pack). This certificate may add value and saleability to your home.
